Somewhere between Vaporwave’s faded memories, New Wave’s cool surfaces and Downtempo’s slow pulse, the album builds its own little climate: warm, hazy, slightly uncanny — and deliberately out of sync with the speed of everything else. The individual sound aesthetic is at the centre of the process. Prophet-5 provides much of the album’s analogue DNA, while a LinnDrum brings its unmistakably physical pulse into the mix. Instead of relying on polished, ready-made digital production routines, Grelka generates, records and resamples large parts of the material himself. Sounds are pushed around, recycled and given new lives until they develop their own fingerprints. That homegrown approach is what separates "2 Grelka" from a purely nostalgic exercise. The album might flirt with Vaporwave’s fascination for degraded memories, analogue ghosts and obsolete futures, but it doesn’t simply recreate a past aesthetic. It treats nostalgia as raw material — something to distort, warm up, slow down and turn into something personal and heart-warming. Georg Stögermayer Vienna-based musician Georg Stögermayer is one of the most compelling local voices in modern, stylistically open guitar playing. With a career spanning two decades, he is deeply rooted in the Austrian music scene. The seven tracks on his solo debut "Valley of Mirrors " were created in his home studio over the past decade; they are now set for release as a Limited Edition Cassette via the Vienna-based label Sama Recordings in December 2026, making them available to a wider audience for the first time. Acting like a mirror of time "Valley of Mirrors" reveals solo material that had long gone unnoticed, drawing attention to those quiet, introspective facets that exist in the shadows yet have much to tell us about ourselves. Without losing the organic essence of his nuanced playing style—and possessing a keen ear for timbre and dynamics—Georg Stögermayer successfully expands his artistic signature through electronic elements, creating a sonic panorama that captivates the listener. Blending technical precision, melodic sensitivity, and a bold spirit of experimentation, his contemporary tracks—enriched by electronic experimentation—move effortlessly across the genres of jazz, blues, ambient, and pop. The Slow Brown Fox The Slow Brown Fox is a DJ & radio host based in Berlin. She crafts sonic journeys through dark, mystical soundscapes, each one a trippy exploration of untold stories. With a sound that’s progressive, deep, sometimes bass-heavy, often cinematic and atmospheric, while groovy and wonky, she weaves together Psychedelic Electronica, Kraut, K-Jazz, Dubstep, and everything in between and beyond. She hosts her own bi-monthly radioshow "Psychedelic Meltdown" on Tbilisi / Georgia based community platform "Mutant Radio". Ssnurssla A key figure in Brno’s club scene, Snurssla co-founded the AVA collective and is known for layered sets that span tribal beats, hypno techno, global hybrid sounds, and ambient. He also co-runs the improv project Moving Spaces and formerly the venue Rumiště. In his dj sets he is exploring sound as a somatic practice that creates polyrhythmic, consciousness-altering patterns that function as psychoactive tools for release and collective renewal. Ambient Animal Sama Recordings label founder Benedikt Guschlbauer alias Ambient Animal lives and works in Vienna. In his dj sets different atoms - from gently floating to wildly pulsating - dance for similar desires. His style can be described as electronic ritualism that creates an exoplanetary dream world between contemplation and escalation. Meka Drina Meka Drina hails from Bosnia And Herzegovina and currently resides in Vienna, with their music inspirations and influences changing on a daily basis. In a club setting their goal is to explore wide arrays of genres, tempos and atmospheres taking inspiration from various aspects of bass culture. In the last couple of years they have taken up more broadcast work having had shows and mixes at the likes of Nü Kvlture, Mode Radio London, Blue Dollar Billz and more. They are currently curating the show "Balkan Revelry" for Black Teeth Records & Radio. Tanja Turner Tanja Turner is a Vienna-based DJ and curator. She draws inspiration from the past and present with an ever-curious ear for the unconventional. Her sets are a dynamic and broad blend – at times introspective and moody, at others playful and energetic. S C H W E B E N Since 2020, thesama recordings pres. s c h w e b e n evenings have focused on the often closely interwoven sections of avant-garde pop, (electronic) club music, and the experimental musical currents. They offer profound musical concepts capable of expanding and enriching horizons. Compelling musical arguments seek to find tangible expression. Nuances of happiness. Floating.
